Monday Mettā
a new + beautiful way to experience Mondays
I breathe in love and contentment, I breathe out worry and fear
When we are nervous and constantly worried, we are stuck. We block any good ideas, creative workarounds, or acceptance of whatever is currently happening by focusing on pervasive worry. We’ve all heard the advice to “take a deep breath” in the midst of a panic. This is founded— it helps our body and nervous system pause so that we can think clearly.
But if we forget, which we often do, to breathe and pause, we become unable to make confident and clear choices. We leave ourselves blocked, closed to possibility.
If you believe in anything more magical than the physical (call it universal consciousness, God, higher guidance, whatever suits you), you’re aware that fussing with the granular, the discontent, or habitual anxiety makes it harder to listen to those higher wisdoms. A simple mettā, or just a pause, helps open us back up to messages of calm and clarity.

So glad you’re here.

🌗 Full Moon- Strawberry Moon 🍓
It’s a supermoon! Happening (for most of us) on Tuesday, June 14, this month’s Full Moon will be bright and happy. And here’s a fun fact: this moon is also called the Honey Moon (in European traditions) because June is traditionally the month of marriages (June is named for the Roman goddess of marriage: Juno).
Enjoy this month’s moon by playing! Spend the day outside, eat sweet berries, and love your loved ones.

Your Tarot Reading, Revealed!
Card 1: Kunzite // Three of Wands
Stress and anxiety exists when we think about the future or the past. If your stress and anxiety involves anticipation for something upcoming, this card is letting you know that your plans will work out. Just make your plans with as much attention, commitment, and yes, acceptance of the unknown as possible. If your stress and anxiety involves memories, and working through past stuff, the message here is to get away for a little. That may be literal (a geographic change can do a body good), or internal (see if you can pick a time during the day to worry, and wait ‘till then to really go for it). PS- this card is a travel card, so go forth!
Card 2: Blue Chalcedony // Seven of Swords
Ok, friend. This may be hard to hear, but the “problem” in your relationships is you. I say that directly, yes, but there’s something very powerful to be in a position to change. You can only change your own actions, not the actions of others. Take a look at what you are taking from your relationships, how you are coming across, how honest and authentic you are being. You might even ask your friends, partner, colleagues, if you’ve been acting in a way that’s been hard for people to manage. ON THE OTHER HAND, this card could also mean you’re in a relationship that you need to take a break from. Take a breath and ask yourself: which message hits closer to home?
Card 3: Thulite // The World
You may be feeling vulnerable (the naked figure indicates vulnerability) but this change is going to be awesome. The World card shows up when there’s finality, a completion, and it serves as a reminder that although nothing is ever over (note the circular laurel wreath—it goes on forever), new and beautiful things can begin from an “ending.” The four figures on each corner of the card indicate the four cardinal directions, meaning, you are being guided! So, have faith in the new direction your life is taking, surrender as much as you can, and enjoy what’s to come.
