Monday MettΔ
A new + beautiful way to experience Mondays.
Todayβs mettΔ is a little meta. Itβs a small statement of encouragement for you to be. Instead of acting, or saying, today is about being. βI am loving-kindnessβ is an offering for you be the love you put out into the world.
Repeat it all day. In the shower, as you wash your hands, as you cook or clean. βI am loving-kindness.β You are β€οΈ
β¨
So glad youβre here.

Aprilβs New Moon and Todayβs Eclipse
Hey have you heard? For those of us in North America, weβve got a total eclipse (of the heart) today, in part due to Aprilβs new moon.
Apparently, during a total eclipse, birds go quiet. So do crickets. Burrowing animals burrow, and pets can behave oddly. If youβve been feeling at all strange leading up to today, that would make sense, wouldnβt it? We are animals and we can sense these things.
Todayβs eclipse is among the many amazing, strange, and energetic earthly and celestial phenomena to take note of. Weβre in Mercury retrograde (April 1-25), where Mercury appears to move backwards, and when, many believe, we experience issues surrounding communication of all forms. Thatβs emails, conversations, logistics, and even those pesky thoughts swishing around your skull. I recommend meditation during this timeβ¦.6 minutes of stillness a day might be really helpful.
Then thereβs the new moon, arriving on April 8. The number 8 is the number of phases, cycles, and how we move through them. The new moon is a chance to begin again, to state your desires and intentions loud and to let the darkness of the night wash over you.
If you live in the tri-state area and parts of New England, you may have felt the earthquake on Friday. It shook my whole house and was extremely unsettling! Weβve also had a norβeaster and snow falling for days, another strange occurrence that even the tiny spring ephemerals are probably struggling with.
And of course, the eclipse. Itβs been voraciously written about, so I wonβt do much here, except to say: if youβre at all in its path, let it be a chance to stand in awe and gaze at the sky. Safely, please.
For more on the eclipse, I send you to NASA. Theyβre kind of a big deal when it comes to space and stuff.
In-Person Yin Yoga Workshop! April 20th in Wisconsin.
On Saturday, April 20, Iβll be presenting a yin yoga and journaling workshop for Write On, Door County. The workshop is meant to engage the body, mind, and creativity through yin yoga poses that correspond with guided journaling and creative writing prompts. Since the body and mind each have a response to holding a yin yoga pose for 3-5 minutes, creativity can flow in a surprising way. Each yoga pose is gentle, and is designed to promote qi β or energy β flow. All prompts will be based around a specific theme, which will correspond to each yoga pose.
I was lucky enough to present a similar workshop in January, 2023 at Write On, and they had some great things to say about the workshop.

Your Tarot Reading, Revealed!
Card 1: Amethyst // Strength
A gorgeous card and a gorgeous message. That figure 8 reminds us that life, and spirituality, comes in phases. If you feel ready to start something new, nowβs the time to begin. If youβre interested in more of a relationship with the spiritual or religious, take that step. If you simply needed motivation, the Strength card tells you to be open, gentle, and courageous.
Card 2: Kyanite // Seven of Cups
There are many ways to repair a relationship. You can listen to all kinds of advice, try to make the best choices, but the answer this card is giving is to let the let your intuition be your guide. Siphon out all the noise and listen closely to yourself. What is it you really need? What is it you need to hear from the other person? In what ways have you been leading the relationship and in what ways are you listening to the other?
Card 3: Labradorite // The Hermit
Your guiding star is YOU. The message here is to look inward and to believe in yourself. Some see the hermit as a wizard, but unlike the Magician card (where the tools are external), the Hermit looks inward to be guided. The card is a gentle reminder that faith comes from you first.
