Monday Mettā

A new + beautiful way to experience Mondays.

I have faith in myself. May all beings trust themselves.

Faith is a little like magic. You can believe it’s there even if you can’t see how.

Breathe deep, on both the inhale and exhale. Imagine yourself completely calm. Say, three times, I have faith in myself.

Let’s send this love to others. Imagine the whole world (sometimes I picture the Earth from space), and send this same feeling of calm, trust, and faith to others.

May all beings trust themselves.

✨

So glad you’re here.

New Moon

For some (West Coast USA), the new moon was late last night. For many others, the new moon officially “rose” early this morning. Let’s take the day to celebrate it and the renewal it brings.

Even if you acknowledge the new moon with no more than a passing “oh. huh,” it’s nice to remember that another month has passed. This is the time to think about what or how you will grow in the month to come.

Your Tarot Reading, Revealed!

Card 1: Amethyst // The Tower

Yeah. Things are feeling a little chaotic right now, and The Tower card certainly isn’t subtle about it. That being said, the opposite (or … balance…) of chaos is transformation, enlightenment, and clarity. This card does symbolize balance—pay attention to the lightning bolt cracking the tower in half, the sun and the star, the symbols at the very bottom of the card. Think about cutting out what feels more chaotic and settling into what feels transformational.

Card 2: Angelite // The World

Is there a more peaceful card? I just love the imagery here, and my advice to you is to curl yourself up in the most nourishing, restorative way possible. Find and make time for the physical sensation of the visuals of this card. That’s different for everyone. Maybe it’s a warm bath, a great book, a snuggle on the couch, or a moment in bed. Create the equivalent of a giant hug. PS- this card is a reminder that the “world” (substitute: angels, Earth, the Divine, your nearest and dearest) absolutely loves you.

Card 3: Snowflake Obsidian // Six of Swords

In this deck in particular, the Six of Swords gives me so much peace and contentment. It is about finding your resources as if you’ve just awoken from a long slumber. Feeling renewed and ready, you awaken to a new journey, one that you have the energy now to take. I’m not going to give you any advice for how to do this in your life this week. Instead, I simply suggest studying the card and reaching for your own “just awoke after slumber” feeling. It’s a lovely meditation.
