Chakra Meditation // 2.28.22
A new + beautiful way to experience Mondays.
Today’s mettā is a little different, as in, it’s not really mettā at all. Instead, I’ve uploaded a chakra meditation for you that begins at the crown and works its way down. It’s meant to soothe and calm and infuse you with golden, liquid sunshine— a stream of energizing consciousness that awakens each of your seven chakras. I hope you enjoy listening. Let the sunshine in! 🌞
So glad you’re here.

As the fever of day calms towards twilight
May all that is strained in us come to ease.
We pray for all who suffered violence today,
May an unexpected serenity surprise them.
For those who risk their lives each day for peace,
May their hearts glimpse providence at the heart of history.
That those who make riches from violence and war
Might hear in their dreams the cries of the lost.
That we might see through our fear of each other
A new vision to heal our fatal attraction to aggression.
That those who enjoy the privilege of peace
Might not forget their tormented brothers and sisters.
That the wolf might lie down with the lamb,
That our swords be beaten into ploughshares
And no hurt or harm be done
Anywhere along the holy mountain.
This poem was re-referenced to me yesterday by Sarah Greenman during her monthly Creative Alchemy gathering.
🌗 Moon Info This Week 🌗
It’s a New Moon. On March 2, the moon lines up with the sun and the moon we “see” is the side not illuminated. It’s a lunar rebirth, and as usual, I suggest small ceremonies to mark the day. I burn a candle until it’s all the way out (put it in a bowl of water!) and I’m all for a good New Moon bathing ritual. It’s not really any different from any other bath, except I get very sincere about it :) I love the idea that every New Moon offers a sweet rebirth.

Your Tarot Reading, Revealed!
Card 1: Angelite // Nine of Cups Well, aren’t you a lucky duck. You have a whole team of light around you helping, watching, making things happen (look at those cups lined up in a row). Of course, we all have a connection to guiding forces that help us when we need it, but yours are particularly connected to you right now (just by virtue of choosing this card, you’ve outed yourself as someone who inherently believes :)). This card is reminding you of a few things: you are not alone, you are loved loved loved, and you are very special. I don’t mean that in the “you are a snowflake who deserves a blue ribbon for simply breathing” special way. I mean that you have a connection with yourself that you are cultivating that is serving you well. Keep notice of what you see, hear, feel, and experience in the upcoming days. If you believe in signs, look out for them— they’re there to reassure you and remind you that you’ve got this.
Card 2: Rose Quartz // Two of Cups There’s some healing (notice the medical symbolism here) that needs to be done, with you, for you, and only by you. This card is indicating that you should remember to be your own best friend. Speak to yourself lovingly. Support your efforts. Do mirror work (the two reaching figures point this out). Engage in self-talk that’s uplifting, positive, reinforcing. There’s also a sense of intuitive trust in this card. Remember that beneath all the b-s, all of the wobbling, fear, and daily anxieties, there lies a deep intuitive knowing that you have access to. Trust it.
Card 3: Carnelian // Seven of Wands This is the perfect card for courage. Basically, the message here is… get started. Seeds don’t sprout unless they’re planted first. Whatever you’ve been thinking of starting, pursuing, leaving, or being, begin. If you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is it. It’s simple. Get started, take on your challenges. You are strong enough to do this.
