Monday Mettā
Mettā: Loving friendliness, goodwill, and kindness directed both inward and outward.
May I release old worries. May I release old fears. May I release attachment to fear and worry.
This mettā asks for a separation from fear and worry.
Consider worry. There’s always something we worry on and on about as almost a habit, a little thing that makes us anxious without our even noticing. Pick one of those worries, or one of those fears, and exhale it. Release it. And then, release your attachment. You don’t need these worries or fears to be a whole human. You can let them go, even if only for a moment or an hour or a day.
May you release your old worries and old fears. They do not make you you.
✨
So glad you’re here.

A New Moon, a New Year
For those of us celebrating the Jewish new year this week, may your new year be sweet 🍯. The ancient Hebrews followed the lunar calendar, which means the new moon always falls on or near Rosh Hashanah. This week, we have a new moon on Thursday, and the Jewish new year begins at sundown on Friday.
You don’t have to be Jewish to feel the newness of the season or to reflect on the beginning of a new day. In fact, I believe that “new years” happen each and every day—making “official” new year holidays both completely unspecial and also just as special as every day happens to be.
Let this new moon usher in a new season, a new year, and a new beginning. Intentionally think through a phase in your life that is ending or one you’d like to begin. This week is a perfect time to start or start again.

Your Tarot Reading, Revealed!
Card 1: Carnelian // Princess of Cups
The Princess of Cups is your guide to your intuition. As stress and doubt swirl around you, look to answers within. Mine your dreams, your imaginings, and your intuition to serve as beacons of strength to help you find answers during this time. Instead of thinking logically or jumping into action, recognize and reflect on your emotions—all of them, not just the stressful ones. Deepen your relationship with yourself and you will begin to find you have the strength to manage and rise above your stress and doubt.
Card 2: Botswana Agate // Two of Pentacles
The two is not a particularly independent number, but what this card is telling you is that your independence comes from a rebalancing of your priorities. Change is coming, or has come, and as you find strength in yourself you will have to let go of priorities that no longer have value to you. Instead, pay close attention to priorities that allow you to grow, shift, and change, and rebalance your efforts towards them.
Card 3: Yellow Jasper // Ace of Wands
This is quite a passionate card for a new relationship, and the “ace,” or one, signifies the beginning of something very energetic. As you begin your new relationship, it’s important not to forget about or let go of your strong sense of self. The Ace is a firm reminder of your personal power, independence, and energy. Make sure you hold strong to yourself as you move towards this next phase.
