Monday Mettā
A new + beautiful way to experience Mondays.
May I be satisfied in this moment as I am. May all beings be satisfied as they are.
A bite-sized loving reminder that you are beautiful and lovely just as you are. Of course you can reflect, learn, and grow. But as you pause and say these words, remember, you have inherent love for yourself. You may have to dig deep, through layers or walls or hard exteriors to find it, but it’s there.
May you be satisfied in this moment as you are.
✨
So glad you’re here.

Yoga Schedule This Week: No Classes!
Summer Solstice
On June 21 we, in the Northern Hemisphere, will experience the longest day of the year, and if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere, it’s the shortest! The sun will “hang still” for a moment, due to the Earth’s tilt and other science things I don’t really understand, and at that moment, we’ll experience the solstice. In eastern time, it’ll be at 5:14am.
To celebrate, find a bit of nature and be in it! Pick flowers, find a patch of sunshine, go for a walk. Enjoy this long and magical day.
We Support Each Other
There are three beautiful ways you can support my work writing and teaching!
Make a micro-donation, either through Buy Me a Coffee (or in my case, a love note), or after you’ve listened to one of my meditations on Insight Timer.
Book a class or an intuitive reading! Come to one of my online yoga classes, schedule a private yoga class, or contact me for a Tarot or Akashic Records reading.
Forward this newsletter on to anyone who might want a little love! Ask them to subscribe! Tell them you love them!
Thank you thank you!
Much love and gratitude,
Rachel

Your Tarot Reading, Revealed!
Card 1: Carnelian // Nine of Pentacles
Courage you have, and let it come slowly. When we’re too courageous, all at once, we tend to rush into things, perhaps not accurately judging what our next steps will be. I always think of this card as a card of slow growth. Notice the seeds (the pentacles) growing into vines. That didn’t happen overnight. Notice the tiny snail at the bottom of the card. The message here is to keep moving forward but to slow down. And for some of us over-achievers, slowing down might be the most courageous move yet!
Card 2: Peach Quartz // King of Pentacles
Forgiveness, this week, comes in the form of the wisdom to know what your forgiveness looks like. Forgiving someone doesn’t necessarily merit a conversation or an announcement. Forgiveness can look like closing your eyes and sending mettā to the person who is making life harder for you. It can be for your benefit and not theirs. It can look like space and time and deciding when the moment is right. The King of Pentacles reminds us of our own power and choice in everything we do, even when we forgive.
Card 3: Red Jasper // Knight of Cups
You’re feeling a little like you’re standing still, but this card’s message is that you’re about to get moving again! Look at that hoof—picked up and ready to move. The Knight of Cups isn’t flying fast, but he isn’t unmoving, either. This is the classic advice: one step at a time. Do one thing first, and then another, and then take a break, and then do one more thing. And always pay attention to your intuition. Perhaps you’re unmotivated because what you are “supposed” to be doing isn’t really… you. Maybe it’s time to dive into what that could mean for you.

I chose card number 3. I think it is the perfect card as on Wednesday, I will walk away from a career of 37 years of teaching. It is a long time coming and these last two days are weighing on me as prepare to feel all the emotions that leaving a career brings!
